Citizenship Through USC Parents
Permanent residents under the age of 18 who have US Citizen Parents can qualify for
citizenship. A child automatically becomes a U.S. citizen when all of
the following conditions have been met:
At least one parent of the child is a U.S.
citizen, whether by birth or naturalization
The child is under the age of 18
The child resides in the US under the legal
custody of the US citizen parent
